The month of November gives us the opportunity to reflect more deeply on the relationships we live in – whether we feel safe and free in them, whether we respect others, and whether we ourselves feel respected. A few days ago, for example, we participated in a drum circle in observance of the World Day for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (November 19), and on November 25, we will commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

On Friday, November 21, we once again met with students from the Private Secondary Vocational School in Revúca as part of our violence prevention program. This time, we discussed this challenging but extremely important topic in the pleasant atmosphere of the Space Revúca venue. Together, we debunked myths that are still prevalent in society and discussed what constitutes a safe relationship, as well as the elements that contribute to a sense of security and peace within it.
