At the meeting of multi-institutional cooperation of cooperating entities – the districts of Žiar nad Hronom, Banská Štiavnica and Žarnovica, the main topic was “Cooperation of institutions in the framework of the protection of children in the context of domestic violence”.
At the third meeting in a row within the territory of the Banská Bystrica region, in addition to the subjects of the non-profit sector, representatives of the District Prosecutor’s Office, the District Directorate of the PZ, representatives of the department of social and legal protection of children and social guardianship, representatives of elementary schools in the city and district of Žiar nad Hronom, representatives of the city took part Žiar nad Hronom and the Community Center in Žiar nad Hronom and others.
Through the discussion, we managed to open several important topics in the protection of victims from violence, as well as the possibility of mutual cooperation between individual helping entities. On behalf of our counseling and intervention center, our lawyer colleague, who covers legal assistance, counseling and representation of clients in our center, also attended the meeting.
As part of an interesting discussion, we exchanged real practical experiences, risks and problems of individual stakeholders (prosecutor’s office, investigators, intervention center, social and legal protection of children and others), which brought interesting and good insights into the field of helping victims. At the same time, we had the opportunity to present the project Staviame Mosty Pomoci, which contributes with its activities to support the cooperation of entities involved in helping victims of violence.
