At the beginning of April, we participated in a discussion with students at the Viliam Gaňa boarding school in Banská Bystrica. We talked about relationships and domestic violence. With a group of 10 students, we discussed what domestic and gender-based violence is, what forms of this violence we know, and we were interested in how these young people perceive relationships with close people.
I want to know more about violence prevention
Since it is a difficult topic and not everything can be told, an essential part of the discussion was informing the students about where they can seek help if they or someone around them is being harmed, how and especially who they can turn to if they need advice about it , what behavior is still acceptable in a relationship and what is beyond the limit and you need to seek help – where is the line between conflict and violence.
